Seastalker was the first "junior level" Infocom game, and as such, contains many hints and clues in the documentation. It's a great game for those who need an introduction to adventure gaming, and not a bad game for the more advanced player who wants to kill a few hours.

Scimitar, when it overheats
    At some point on the way to the aquadome, Tip will tell you that the control circuit is overheating. Usually this happens when you are in the ocean, but sometimes it happens on the bay. When it does, do the following: CLOSE THROTTLE. TURN ENGINE OFF. ASK TIP FOR TOOL. OPEN ACCESS PANEL. IN. FIX REGULATOR. OUT. TURN ENGINE ON. TURN THROTTLE TO (whatever speed it was at before the Scimitar started to heat up).

    TURN ON AUTOPILOT. TURN THROTTLE TO FAST. READ MAGAZINE. OPEN MAGAZINE. READ ARTICLE. WAIT (until the control circuit starts to overheat, if it hasn't already, then fix it as described above).
